Privacy Policy

At killnote, we take privacy very seriously, since the main purpose of the site is to preserve it. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This policy outlines the measures taken to ensure that.

  1. Notes are stored in our database which assures that nobody can read them. This implies that there is no way to recover a note if the link is lost but, at the same time, it protects our users' privacy, which is our biggest concern and main priority.

  2. When a note is read, its data is removed from our servers permanently, which means there's absolutely no way to recover it.

  3. During the time that the note is stored in our servers, its contents cannot (and will not) be viewed by anyone except for the person who has the proper link to the note. We don't keep any kind of record of the note links created, which means we don't know what note links were created in our site.

  4. When a note is not read after 30 days, it will be removed permanently, just as if it were read.

  5. We assure that notes cannot (and, thus, will not) be read by anyone (under any circumstances) until the moment a person clicks the note link for the first time. After that, we decline any responsibility related to the note contents, as it is the sole responsibility of the recipient as to what will be done with it. We only assure that the contents will not be read by anyone before it reaches its destination.

  6. We may keep a log of our users IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers.

Please note that this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We expect most such changes will be minor. Regardless, we will post any Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice such as a message in the home page. Each version of this Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date.
